and more and more. You are able to smile and laugh from the depth of your heart.
Life becomes more light and easy." Sri Sri Ravi Shankar
The Art of Living courses adapt ancient wisdom and yogic practices to enrich modern life. These courses offer practical methods to eliminate stress and enhance all aspects of individual life.
These courses teach us to use the breath to bring our minds into the present moment, where joy, clarity and peace of mind reside. "The breath is the link between the body and the mind - every rhythm of the mind has a corresponding rhythm in the breath. When you cannot directly handle the mind, it is easy to do so through the breath."

The Art of Living Course - Part I:
The Part I Course, which is central to all the other courses offered by the Foundation, is open to all those over the age of 18. During the course, you will discover the influences that govern the mind, as well as skills for dealing effectively with negative emotions.
This deeply introspective and fun course is enjoyed by people of all backgrounds, cultures and traditions in more than 140 countries. It does not conflict with any religious or spiritual practices - rather, it enhances both by allowing participants to experience the very inner core of their being.
The cornerstone of the course is a revitalising and unique breathing technique known as the Sudarshan Kriya® which releases stress and toxins at the physical, mental and emotional level, thereby promoting better health on all these levels
Due to the pressure and strain of modern living, negative emotions get stored in every cell of our body in the form of toxins. Through specific rhythms of the breath, Sudarshan Kriya® floods our system with cleansing, life-supporting energy, and restores harmony to our whole being. It is known to have beneficial effects on the physiology, nervous system, endocrine system and the immune system. One feels renewed, both physically and emotionally. It need only be practiced a few minutes a day to produce life-changing results.
The Part I Course also includes:
- Gentle stretching exercises for improved circulation and relaxation
- Simple techniques which increase the balance and flow of energy in the body and guided meditation to calm and rejuvenate on all levels
- Sharing time tested secrets of life that help us to secure our health, happiness and success

Prayer within breath Is silence
Love within Infinity Is silence
Wisdom without word Is silence
Compassion without aim Is silence
Action without doer Is silence
Smiling with all the Existence Is silence!
One of the powerful processes you will experience on an advanced course is keeping silent.
The practice of silence has been known throughout the ages, in many different traditions and cultures, as a great tool for enhancing self-discovery.
Maintaining silence, even for just a few days, can have remarkable effects on the system, reviving energy and enthusiasm and providing deep rest for the mind and body.
Other elements of the course include building energy through yoga asanas (postures) and meditation (Sadhana).
Silence takes you deeper into yourself, Sadhana builds Energy, Satsang (celebration) maintains it.
It will leave you with a big smile that radiates all the way from within.
Completion of the Part I course is a prerequisite for the Part II course.
The experience of the course cannot be described.
You will discover a sanctuary inside yourself and grow the deep connection to your own inner peace of mind and true self.
Thereafter your way back home is forever defined and easily returned to through your own personal practices.
