Part 1 Course experiences
The Part 1, Art of Living course came at a time of great emotional turmoil for me. I felt as if I was not able to control my emotions and that I had no idea how to bring myself back to a state of joy or rid myself of the guilt I felt.
When I finally met our teacher, his enthusiasm and joy were almost tangible. It gave me a glimpse of what I could achieve for myself and a realisation that with discipline, I could bring myself back to a state of love and happiness every moment of my life. I count myself lucky that I found the Art of Living techniques and that I met Anand, who is an amazing comfort and guide to what can be achieved should you keep yourself focused and in the moment.
Thank you to His Holiness Sri Sri Ravishankar for his love and foresight in bringing these techniques to the people of the world and thank you to our teacher for being a guiding light. - Lara Jamieson
Thanks again for the wonderful previledge to do this course with
you, we can never put in words what it really means to us, for often
the results shows up so gently that we even misses a great deal of it.
This has been a most profound 6 days of my life, and even after I had
thought that I have done so many courses and had the feeling of I am
overdoing it by doing another course, Sri Sri kept playing in my mind
and I just had to do the course, and today I am extremely grateful for
that.
Thank you also to make it so available to all and for bringing this course to us.

The Art of Living Part 1 Course was definitely a life changing and healing experience for me. I was amazed at how the Sudarshan Kriya immediately calmed my restless mind and "centred" me. I found that my first experience of the Sudarshan Kriya,was extremely powerful and seemed to get rid of my negative emotions. The following Kriya sessions over the next few days were very peaceful. I must say that the guided meditation sessions had a profound effect on me. I had not meditated before so I had no idea what to expect. For some reason my mind was so peaceful after the Kriya sessions that I did not seem distracted at all during the meditation sessions, and during all three sessions I felt deeply connected to the divine and made me feel a great sense of gratitude, compassion and love for God, myself and all those around me. Furthermore the knowledge gained on the art of living life from our teachers, will remain with me for the rest of my life. I came to Art of Living for many reasons. The most important was to
find tools to help deal with depression and anxiety that the
psychoanalysts would say stemmed from a childhood bathed in anger,
psychological manipulation, violence and the constant uncertainty of
when or where or why next onslaught would take place.
With the
support of my doctors, therapist and family, I was slowly weaning my
self off of an anti-depressant that I had been put on for over 7 years.
Funny that none of the “health professionals” mentioned that research
had not been done on the side effects nor if the drug was even
effective after a mere one year of use. They also never mentioned the
extreme nightmarish withdrawal effects, the 5-hour half-life, nor the
hell that a potential embryo in my womb would have gone through had I
become pregnant, even though I was always upfront about not using birth
control. Thank goodness my husband and I never conceived!
I
found the most valuable tool to calm my mind and to focus it on USEFUL,
positive thoughts and ways of dealing with the challenges that life
sends every day, every minute, both in the work place, within
relationships as well as just while driving in irritating traffic.
I
rediscovered the peace and love that has always been inside of me, my
true nature, and how to tap into that at any, every moment of the rest
of my life.

YES! Course experiences
I really liked this course because it taught me to let go & relax and the way i felt before has drastically changed. I made new friends and had fun and enhanced myself. I think this is something that all people should do. - Kyle (15)

Thanks to Bibi for telling me about this course. I\'ve learnt a lot abut myself and how I should react to things in my life. Before this course i was confused about me feelings and attitude, now i seem to know what is going on now. I feel more happy, peaceful and calm. Art Excel Course experiences
The course helped me control my temper and emotions. Before I came I was very, very sensitive. Now I feel strong and good. What\'s best was the things we did to help us were fun. We also played some games on the weekend, and we also had to some yoga but that was no problem. I have made many good friends during this course and will miss them. When I first came to the course I was nervous and I did not know
