The Art of Living Foundation is a non-profit, educational and charitable organisation that operates in more than 140 countries and is dedicated to serving society by strengthening the individual.
Our
self-development programmes offer techniques that eliminate stress,
calm the mind, improve health, expand awareness, resolve conflict and
encourage people from all backgrounds, religions and cultures to come
together in celebration and service.
As one of the largest volunteer
based NGO in the world with a wide range of social, cultural and
spiritual activities, the Foundation has reached out to over 20 million people from all walks of life.
In Africa, the Foundation operates in Botswana, Ghana, Ivory Coast,
Kenya, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa,
Zambia and Zimbabwe.
The Art of Living Foundation works in special consultative status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations and has accredited representatives at the United Nations in New York, Geneva and Vienna.

The Art of Living Foundation in conjunction with the United Nations Millennium Development Goals Campaign invited all Schools, Trade Unions, Colleges, Universities, Government, NGO's, Faith based Organizations, Corporates, Businesses, Women and Youth Groups to Stand Up against Poverty and Speed Up the Millennium Development Goals on the 16,17 or 18 October 2009.
