Women are the backbone of society. The role of women in the development of society is extremely critical. In today's world, women have risen to prominent leadership positions - be it in business, social work, politics, performing arts or any other field and have something unique to offer to their organisations and communities. The International Women's Conference offers a platform for women leaders of global prominence to come together with women from the grassroots level, exchange their views and ideas and form networks through which they can support each other.
The primary objective of the conference is to create awareness and further the dialogue on the role of women in promoting a more compassionate and ethical environment in the areas they work.

Women leadership will have a great role to play in surmounting the challenges that have come up as a result of the current economic crisis: be it challenges at the workplace, in the family or society.

~ Strength of Womanhood: The Media Portrayal
The media plays an important role in shaping minds, and what we believe to be the truth. When this critical strength is used positively it can become a powerful tool in enabling her to recognise that she is a natural leader, that the potential is innate. This session will discuss the current portrayal of women in the media and its consequent impact on society.
~ Harmonious living: The Balancing Act
Our life takes a direction based on the choices we make. The choice may support our professional life or our personal life and sometimes both. However, when there is confusion, it affects our physical and mental well-being. This forum explores the positive impact of being happy and fulfilled in all spheres: uniting the material, emotional and spiritual quotient to bring about harmonious progress.
~ Challenges in Leadership: Geo-Political considerations
Women leaders from around the world have overcome diverse challenges in rising to their position. Some of these are based on the local culture, traditions and the accepted role of women in their respective societies. There have been examples of women who have faced additional challenges because of being a woman. In this session, speakers will share their experiences on how they have overcome these challenges, inspiring other women in similar communities to also come to the forefront.
